Nana's plastic notebook filled with handwritten prayers and holy cards has given me
countless sculptures and this beloved prayer to San Rafael:
"Angel of Happy Meetings, lead us by the hand toward those we are waiting for, those who are waiting for us! May all our movements, all their movements, be guided by your Light, and transfigured by Joy." My life is now full of happy meetings. And here is my own prayer to this famous archangel: 
Dear San Rafael, You disguised yourself in the marketplace as an ordinary man that Tobias might recognize you as his guide to everything he wished for: a cure for his father's blindness, the family's lost fortune and a lovely wife. Help me to see that my guiding light is in every "ordinary" man I meet today and that clothes do NOT make the man. Thank you for using others to speak plainly to me and point the swiftest way to my heart's desires. Amen
